happy babies with dry diapers can count on BAMBAMBOOS for being
Bambamboos can return to our Earth by decomposing much faster than other disposable diapers. We have buried several different diapers and are documenting to compare. Normal disposable diapers can take between 250 and 500 years to decompose, while we believe bambamboos will be mostly decomposed within 1 year.
As one of the oldest living plants on Earth, bamboo represents a straightforward life and brings us encouragement to see the shoots grow so quickly. Mature stalks can grow up to two feet in a single day! We use natural materials and don't add any bleaches, chemicals, or dyes. Never.
Natuloom Incorporated is driven to develop only the most eco-friendly products by using organic materials. In order to maintain functionality, however, some parts are not organic. We are currently at 47% biologically organic and have an aim to increase that figure to over 90%. Our friends at the USDA Bio-Preferred program have been helping us achieve our goal.
Our "Magic Tape" enclosures are a micro velcro to firmly contour to the soft curve of your baby and keep the diaper in place. Although this is not made of bamboo, it keeps the functionality of the diaper consistent, so you don't have to worry about any "wardrobe malfunctions"
bambamboos absorb over 500 mL liquid in Sizes 1 and 2. We are conducting tests with other labels for a comparison, but the initial results look good! Bamboo fibers wick away moisture so your baby remains dry until.... it's time for a change.
bambam, our mascot, represents one of the most cuddly creatures on Earth: the panda. Bamboo is one of the panda's favorite snack, and when broken down into a fiber, is very soft to the touch! Your baby's bottom will feel smooth as silk... almost.
Bamboo has been claimed to possess antibacterial properties related to its fibrous cell structure relating to the natural 'bamboo kun' found in the plant. As we have found several studies with conflicting conclusions, we at Natuloom can only conclude that bamboo products MAY have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. We will continue our testing and publish reports as they become available.
It is relatively well known that bamboo is a hypoallergenic material that is able to resist mold, mildew, and even pests. Chemicals and pesticides are not needed to help it grow, so the resulting fabric doesn’t contain the harsh toxins that often irritate the skin. As a plant-based material, it does not carry lanolin, which is one of the main reasons individuals have allergic reactions to towels, sheets, and clothing. These qualities make bamboo products a great choice for babies, as well as those with allergies or sensitive skin.
One of our Earth's most precious resource, water, is instrumental in growing natural materials which may be used to fabricate everyday household items. Bamboo requires very little water to grow- its growth even spreads naturally. Zero pesticides or fertilizers are needed for it to propagate, and bamboo does not need to be re-sown every growing season. The combination of sustainably harvested materials and the biodegradability of our diapers are the keys to a successful eco-friendly product. Save mother nature just by being a great mother!
